Ille-et-Vilaine

A fabulous territory

Between the mythical fortified city of St Malo, the legendary forest of Brocéliande and its generous gastronomy, L'Ille et Vilaine does not disappoint its visitors. This department is the poorest in maritime coasts, but we know that the quantity does not make the quality, and it presents an exceptional coastal richness.

The Emerald Coast, which takes its name from the color of its water, is home to the most beautiful beaches in the department.

Due to its small amount of coastline, there are fewer lighthouses in Ille et Vilaine. But they still deserve your interest, from the point of view of their architecture and their history.
